Missouri Location Guide

TLP Location Guide
Family | Couples | Engagement | Seniors | Kiddos | Tweens
One of the best parts of working with me? I’ve got a running list of locations that photograph beautifully in all kinds of light and seasons. Think less “random park” and more “this spot hits every single time.”
But don’t worry, this isn’t a “you show up and I decide everything” situation. You absolutely get a say. Your session should feel like you, not like you borrowed someone else’s idea.
Let’s Find Your Vibe
The biggest thing we’re choosing isn’t just a location… it’s the feel of your photos.
Do you want:
Warm, glowy sunsets in an open field
Water, trees, and a more outdoorsy feel
Something quiet and tucked away
Or a more fun, urban, out-of-the-box setting
We’ll figure that out together and match you with the right spot.
Got a location in mind already? I’m always up for somewhere meaningful or a hidden gem. Those usually end up being the most personal sessions.
A Few Things to Keep in Mind
Lighting matters more than the location itself
Golden hour will always give you the best results
Some locations require a bit of walking
Time of year can completely change how a spot looks
Privacy levels vary depending on the location
I’ll guide you through all of this so you don’t have to overthink it.
Favorite Locations
Parks + Nature
Indian Camp Creek
This spot has a little bit of everything, water, rocks, trees, and that tucked-away feel that makes sessions feel more personal. It’s perfect if you love being outdoors and want something that feels natural and relaxed.
Busch Wildlife
Wide open spaces, tall grass, and water views that hit beautifully at sunset. This is one of my go-to locations for that warm, glowy look with plenty of room to move around and just be yourselves.
Brommelsiek Park
Think rolling hills, beautiful scenery, water, and open skies. It’s simple in the best way and gives us those soft, golden sunset vibes without a lot of distractions in the background.
Quail Ridge Park
This is where we go if you want a little more variety and are up for a bit of exploring. Trails, water, and open areas all in one place, perfect for a more adventurous, story-driven session.
Forest Park
This is where we go if you want a little more variety and are up for a bit of exploring. Trails, water, and open areas all in one place, perfect for a more adventurous, story-driven session.
Klondike Park
One of the most unique spots around. Sand, cliffs, and water give it a totally different feel. It’s perfect if you want something a little more bold and are open to getting a little messy by the end.

Urban + Fun

The Mural Mile
Bright, colorful, and full of personality. This is a great option if you want something fun, playful, and a little different from the typical nature session.
Historic Main Street St. Charles
Charming, classic, and full of character. Brick streets, cute storefronts, and a timeless feel that works beautifully for couples and families.
Downtown areas
alleys + street spots
A little more edgy and modern. Think textures, lines, and movement. Perfect if you want something less traditional and more you.

Out-of-the-Box Ideas

Carnivals or fairs
Fun, candid, and full of energy. This is less about posing and more about capturing real moments while you’re actually doing something together.
Coffee Shop or Ice Cream Dates
Simple, cozy, and personal. These sessions feel like a real date, which makes everything more natural and relaxed.
Arcades or mini golf
Playful and a little competitive in the best way. Lots of movement, laughter, and those in-between moments that end up being favorites.
Adventure mini sessions are available on Tuesday or Thursdays at Quail Ridge Park, Fort Zumwalt Park, or Boulevard Park. These are perfect if you’re down for a little exploring and want something that feels less posed and more like an experience.
Golden Hour (Trust Me on This)
Golden hour is the hour before sunset when the light is soft, warm, and flattering. This is where that glowy, natural look comes from.

Need Help Deciding?
You don’t have to figure this out alone.
If you’re unsure, I’ll recommend locations based on your vibe, your comfort level, and what you want your photos to feel like years from now.
And if your session is outside of Missouri or at a private location, we’ll plan it out together so everything runs smoothly.

Some locations do require permits or small fees. I’ll let you know ahead of time if that applies.
